Des Moines, Iowa, October 21, 2014 – The American Cancer Society Relay For Life celebrates those who have battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost, and commits to fighting back against cancer. In order to support MORE people touched by cancer, Relay For Life of Polk County is excited to announce it is expanding for 2015 and hosting a Relay For Life of Eastern Polk County.
Each of these community based events will provide an exciting opportunity for more volunteers to get involved. Both events are looking for anyone wanting to make a difference – to recruit fundraising teams, garner community support, coordinate logistics, seek refreshments and prizes, plan entertainment and more to ensure the success of the 2015 events. Volunteer support is crucial to the events and will help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
