The World Wide Web can be used for so many things in this day and age. The vast expanses of the Internet have something for everyone and bring information to people’s fingertips with the click of a mouse. Although much of the Internet can be viewed as distraction-filled and potentially dangerous, Christians can utilize this magnificent tool to connect with God, learn about His word and create a starting point for fellowship with Him.

New to town? Interested in giving another church a try? The switch can be daunting, and many can be hesitant to make new Sunday commitments. It’s important to find the right church to fit your religious needs and nurture your relationship with Christ. Asbury United Methodist of Webster City makes getting active in Christ as easy as logging on to your computer.

Upon first click to the website, you’ll find a comprehensive list of current events and happenings in the community. In just a few strokes of the keyboard, visitors can be redirected to a calendar complete with events and the current worship schedule. A comprehensive newsletter is also available for those interested in the recent happenings of the community.

The most captivating portion of the website is found underneath the Resources tab. In the video archives, visitors can check out weekly recordings of church services and events to give them an idea of what a normal day at Asbury is like. These are accompanied by the church’s podcast library, a comprehensive list of worship services and sermons available with the click of a mouse. Visitors are able to capture the feel of Pastor Jeff Flagg’s style and capture the character of the church. Podcasts date back to the start of the year, making it easy for newcomers and current church members to stay caught up — even from the comfort of their own homes.

Other goodies pack the website — from staff profiles and photographs to detailed pages on separate ministry services. Asbury United stands out among other local churches as a great website and threshold to a new, warm and inviting Christian community in Webster City.
