Wilma was born on May 6, 1938 in the area west of Luther, IA, known as Sugar Valley, the fourth of six children born to William Charles and Frances Mabel (Cromwell) Danielson. She attended Sugar Valley Country School and graduated from Luther Consolidated School.
For a brief time, Wilma lived in Des Moines, where she worked as a secretary at VyLactos Laboratories Inc. In 1958, she was united in marriage to Raymond Busking of Hasting, NE. Raymond passed away in 1976. Wilma married Larry Miller on January 4, 1980 in Camden County, MO. They loved camping and took several trips to Minnesota, where Wilma and Larry spent time with friends on the lake. Larry passed away in 2001. Wilma worked for several years at Woodward Hospital and School in Woodward, in Food Service. In 2000, she retired from Iowa State University, where Wilma was employed in the Tea Room as a Food Service Worker. Among her hobbies were making rugs on a loom, quilt making and cooking. Wilma was always ready when you mentioned going to the Casino or suggested a game of 21!
Wilma had no children of her own but loved her stepsons like they were her own. She loved making quilts for each new grand and great-grandbaby as they came along. When Wilma was no longer able to make them herself, she had a friend make them a fussy blanket.
Brothers, Virgil, Jim and Donald were blessed to have Wilma take care of them in her home when they were no longer able to stay in their own home.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her four sons, David (Kim) Miller of George, IA, Bob (Deiter) Miller of Woodward, Jerry (Nancy) Miller of Carthage, MO, and Michael (Julie) Miller of Council Bluffs, IA; one brother, Donald “Dan” Danielson of Madrid; two sisters, Maxine (Fred) Anderson and Mildred “Judy” (LaVerne) Peterson both of Madrid; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three nephews, Jimmy Danielson of Des Moines, Tim (Cindy) Anderson of Madrid and Phil Hesnard of Sac City, IA; three nieces, Pam (Brian) Crise of Madrid, Lori (Joe) Wirth of Ames and Amy Peterson of Ankeny; two great-nieces, Abby and Molly Hesnard of Sac City; two great-nephews, Cole and Cody Wirth of Ames; and several cousins. Wilma was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Busking; second husband, Larry Miller; parents, William and Frances Danielson (Mills); stepfather, Bob Mills; two brothers, Jim and Virgil Danielson; one nephew, Virgil Danielson II; two nieces, Sarah Hesnard and Irene Danielson; and one granddaughter, Kristi Miller.
