Some interesting facts about Adel
The bridges that are used to enter Adel from the north and east were replaced in the early ’30s. The one to the north was replaced in 1931. The one on the east on Highway 6 was erected in 1932 and dedicated by Alvin Skinner, then mayor of Adel. He said his daughter cut the ribbon. Books, however, say Mrs. Russell, the oldest person in town, had the honor. (Told by Alvin Sklinner)

Museum moments
The museum is now closed on Saturdays until May. Anyone wishing to tour the museum or to use for a club meeting place may call Jan Price, 993-1032, for a reservation. Anyone wishing to donate to the Clarke-Kinnick addition to the museum may do so at Adel City Hall. The Dallas County Foundation just awarded an $8,000 grant to the addition.
