First Christian Church invites new members to stop in at any of its weekly activities.

Like training your body to be strong or your mind to be smart, it is important to keep your Christian faith strong by staying active in Christ. There are a handful of churches in Perry that offer busy schedules to really push your faith fitness.

First Christian Church, located at 1224 Lucinda St., works hard to keep the congregation involved in Christ and fellowship. Sunday school is held each week at 9:30 a.m. just before the 10:30 a.m. worship. Visitors and members alike can join in fellowship with refreshments following the service until 12:30 p.m. Every other Thursday, men of the congregation invite guests to attend a breakfast fellowship at 8 a.m. Starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, youth can join in on E.D.G.E. (Every Day God Experiences). Kids have the opportunity to learn a lesson, share a meal and, most importantly, have fun. For more information on weekly activities, visitors can check out

Sundays at 9 a.m., Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church invites all newcomers to join in to worship with them at 920 15th St.. If you are craving more opportunities to get involved, you’re in luck. Men’s Bible study and support group takes place every Friday at 6:45 a.m. Women have the opportunity for fellowship on the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. The group meets at Spring Valley Retirement Community to study the Bible and hold an ELCA business meeting. Youth have a chance to get involved at Mt. Olivet as well. A.L.I.V.E. Youth Group offers an array of fun activities for the kids and teens of the community. St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1312 Third St., offers a chance to join in fellowship every single day. The church offers English Mass at 9 a.m. and Spanish Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Sundays. From Monday through Thursday, you can check out daily morning Mass at 8 a.m. A special school Mass is held Fridays at 9 a.m., with Reconciliation and Mass starting at 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
