Edward Wilson Myers, 54, formerly of Chariton, Iowa and most recently of Osceola, Iowa passed away on September 10, 2014 of Huntington’s Disease. Edward will be laid to rest with a graveside service that will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 22nd at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.

Edward was the oldest of six siblings. Edward was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 23 1960 to Edward ‘Bud’ and Sharon (Ortiz) Myers. Edward worked at Swifts for ten years. Edward loved playing tennis, fishing, and watching any Michigan sports, especially the Detroit Lions. His two greatest joys in life were his family and the Detroit Lions. Edward loved spending time with his family and friends. He always embraced the quality time he got to spend with everyone and was always guaranteed a spot on the couch on game day. He was and always has been a Lions fan.

Edward is survived by his two daughters, Brandi Myers and Aubrey (Jeremy) Williams, both of Des Moines; his two grandchildren, Jayden and Jylian both of Des Moines; his six siblings, Jackie Porter of Florida, Brenda Prothero of Des Moines, Romanda Sinkular of Jefferson, Randy (Brandy) Myers of Des Moines, Brian Myers of Des Moines, and Cole Myers of Des Moines; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his dad, Edward ‘Bud’ Myers and his mother, Sharon (Ortiz) Myers.
