The RVR Book Club will take a look at “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 4:30 p.m.
Read the book, then come to the meeting to View the movie based on the book. Discuss both while you Refuel with a pizza dinner! A $5 fee is required for dinner. We will discuss “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl. This group meets every other month. Ages 7 and older; please register.
Early Out Adventures: Marbling

Find out how you can use marbles, water and even a swimming pool to create cool marbled art. Different stations will explore different art techniques. Ages 5 and older; no registration.
Banned Books Week
Saturday, Sept. 27, 1-3 p.m.
Stop in any time between 1-3 p.m. on Sept. 27 for fun activities and information about Banned Book Week. Make crafts, take a mug shot with your favorite banned books, and learn why books such as “Harry Potter,” “The Great Gatsby,” and even “Captain Underpants” have been censored from libraries and schools. All ages; no registration.
Spooky story writing competition
Do you have what it takes to write the spookiest story in town? We will hold a spooky story writing contest and Halloween coloring contest to celebrate the Halloween season. Pick up the directions and/or coloring pages any time in October. All entries will be due to the library or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, Oct. 24 to be eligible for judging. Winners will be announced at the Boo Bash! on Thursday, Oct. 30, with prizes for the winning entries.
