Fall is here, and the Ankeny community continues to thrive with progress in every corner of the city. The Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce is now more than 825 members strong and growing each day. We have about three ribbon cuttings a week, so please join us to learn more about all of the new businesses coming to Ankeny. The Chamber is excited to be welcoming new members each week. New businesses such as Chick-Fil-A, Mills Fleet Farm, Sam’s Warehouse and many more make this community very progressive.
I see progress each day in the agriculture area with the recently held Farm Progress Show here in central Iowa. Monsanto, John Deere, Iowa Soybean Association and many more Ankeny businesses were present at this event boasting with progress.
You have an opportunity to come and meet the owners of local businesses and get a taste of their product or service. Join the Ankeny Area Chamber businesses on Sept. 24 at the FFA Enrichment Center. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. I hope to see you and your friends as many restaurants and local businesses show you the progress they are proud of. I’m sure you will learn about a restaurant or business in Ankeny you didn’t know was here.
We have much to be thankful for and proud of in this community we call home. Take time to support the business owners who work hard each day to provide quality service to Ankeny.
There are lots of other great events this fall, so please check the website at www.ankeny.org to learn more about what’s happening at the Chamber. I hope to see you at an upcoming event. In the meantime, if there is anything I can do to help any of our members, please feel free to contact me.
