At the Fort Dodge Community Schools, we know that parent and community insight and feedback is important to helping us provide a rich learning environment for our kids. Having the perspective of adults from outside the school staff can have a positive impact on our students and schools.
The Comprehensive School Improvement Advisory/Equity Committee (CSIAC) consists of a combination of students, parents, community and staff members who have the best interest of our kids at heart. The committee meets four times per year to learn about and provide feedback on various educational topics and school needs. The discussions include topics such as student achievement, student learning goals, parent engagement, and school culture and climate to name a few. Recommendations from this group are presented to the school board to aid them in their decision making.
The CSIAC has been a part of the Fort Dodge Community School District for a number of years. We are currently working to broaden the make-up of this committee. If you are interested in serving on this committee, or know someone who would be a good representative, please contact me at email@example.com or 574.5640.
Working together we will provide the best possible educational experience for our kids!
