Margaret Adams Greyson Kahl, 97, was born in Cleveland, OH and died in Naples, FL on September 4, 2014. She attended Principia in St. Louis, MO, the University of Hawaii and the University of California.
Margaret drove trucks for the air force during World War ll at Lowry Field in Denver, CO, where she met her future husband, Alfred W. Kahl. They married on May 10, 1942 at Fort Crook, NE. After the war, they moved to Des Moines. Margaret was very active in DAR, Daughters of the Nile, and various charities.
They moved to Naples in 2000, to be near their children. Alfred died in 2003.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Karlin Kahl; son, John Kahl; and grandchildren, John and Margaret.
Services in Naples, FL will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road and will include a visitation from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, September 8 with a 4:30p.m. service.
A visitation in Iowa will be held at Iles Funeral Homes – Dunn’s Chapel from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 9. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 10 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin, IA.
