Jethro’s BBQ to Present ARL with a Check – Saving More Than 700 Lives

(August 22, 2014)—Jethro’s BBQ raised $11,000 for the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) at their second annual Wing Ding event this summer. The charitable funds will help care for more than 700 homeless pets at the ARL. Jethro’s BBQ & Splash Seafood owner, Bruce Gerleman, will be presenting a check to ARL’s Executive Director, Tom Colvin in celebration of all of the lives saved by their contribution.

Attendees will be able to talk and take pictures with both Gerleman and Colvin. This event is to thank Jethro’s BBQ for all of their charitable contributions to the community and their efforts in our mission to SAVE MORE LIVES. ARL is thrilled to have businesses, like Jethro’s, in the Des Moines community helping their cause – without them ARL wouldn’t be able to continue to always be there when animals are in need.

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is a nonprofit organization founded in 1926. The ARL is the state’s largest animal shelter, serving over 16,500 animals each year from all corners of the state. The ARL is the greater Des Moines area’s only shelter that never turns away an animal in need.
