New York Times and the library

Posted August 20, 2014 in Community Blogs, Grimes

Above is a link to an article in the New York Times about libraries.  If you like to use ebooks or audio books, this is another reminder to visit our web site at  Click on the tab marked “WILBOR” for access to the site.  All you need is to be a citizen of Grimes and have a valid library card.  We can teach you how to download to your device, just bring it to the library.

We will be offering a 2 hour tech time starting in Sept. on the second Thursday of each month from 3-5pm.  Call the library for more details or to sign up for a 30 minute one on one time slot.

Work at the main library has been slow.  We all are feeling the pain and want to get back as soon as possible.  If there is anything we can do to help you while in our temporary headquarters, please let me know.  We will certainly be glad to work with you to get you the materials and service you need.  You can also send me an email at  Again, we will do what we can.  I am in the library from 9am to 5pm (unless at lunch or on vacation… sorry) and will be glad to assist with any situation.  Just let me know.  Communication is key!!!
