Urbandale Parks and Recreation is Awarded with Two Large Grants

March 11, 2014– Urbandale Parks and Recreation has received two different grants totaling $34,408. The Parks and Recreation MAC program received $10,000 and the Urbandale Art Park Received $24,408.

Prairie Meadows awarded a Community Betterment Grant of $10,000 to the Making A Connection (MAC Camp) program. The donation will help to provide educational, recreational and life skill building experiences for low income and at risk children in the Urbandale community, as well as providing them with two meals per day.

Bravo Greater Des Moines through their Capital Campaign and Projects Grant awarded the Urbandale Parks and Recreation Department with a grant of $24,408 to install lighting and signage at the Urbandale Art Park located south of City Hall at 3600 86th Street.
