Harold Carlyle Jagerson, 94, passed from this life on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the Madrid Home in Madrid. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, March 13, at Iles Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Chapel in Madrid. Burial will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery, east of Madrid.

Harold was born on October 21, 1919, in Madrid, Iowa to Carl Andrew and Fannie Mae (Bell) Jagerson. He was a 1937 graduate of Luther High School in Luther, Iowa. On July 28, 1945, Harold was united in marriage to Mary Ruth Wisecup in Madrid, and to this union, three children, three grandsons and three great-grandchildren were born. Harold farmed his whole life and was a dedicated hard working provider. He lived at Sunny View Farm for 56 years. In addition to his obvious love for farming, Harold also loved mowing his yard and spending time outdoors. He was a longtime member of Garden Prairie United Church of Christ and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Mary Jagerson of Madrid; two daughters, Shona (Dennis) Ringgenberg and Vicki (Ronald) Carlson both of Madrid; one sister, Beulah Duling of Madrid; one brother, Howard (Peggy) Jagerson of Des Moines; one sister-in-law, Helen Jagerson of Madrid; three grandsons, Mike (Sara) Ringgenberg of Wasilla, AK, Dirk (Michelle) Ringgenberg of Madrid and Kevin (Robin Van Atten) Ringgenberg of Denver, CO; three great-grandchildren, Brandi, Mandi and Hunter Ringgenberg; and many nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded into eternal life by his parents; two sisters, Edna Adams and Alberta Redmond; three brothers, Clyde, Clifford and Ole Jagerson; one sister-in-law, Ruth Jagerson; four brothers-in-law, Junior Duling, Bill Cunningham, Howard Adams and Newt Redmond; son, Scott Jagerson; and four nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at the funeral home. The family has respectfully requested that any memorial contributions be made to either Garden Prairie United Church of Christ; or The Madrid Home.
