July 17, 1936 – February 28, 2014
Lupe Duncan is now with her Savior Jesus Christ, His Father, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. Lupe lived a full life. She came into this world in her grandmother’s house on one of the hottest days of one of the hottest summers on record in 1936. She lived her life to serve Jesus and her family. Nothing was more important to her than to show her family and everyone she encountered the love of God. She had all His best qualities. She never knew a stranger. Her wit and sense of humor were sharp as a tack until the end. She knew how to laugh and enjoy life. Her ability to love everyone was humbling. Her family was her life. Although she took many trips thousands of miles away, her favorite place was always her home in Valley Junction just a few blocks from where she was born. Beset at an early age with challenges that would destroy most, she became a rock of stability to her family.
Lupe is survived by her loving husband Frank, sons Steven (Mimi) and Jeffrey (Dana) and daughter Julie (Brian) Yaverski. Grandchildren Danielle (Jason) Yonker, Darcie (Clayton) Lewis, Christopher, Ashley, Sara, and Eric. Great grandchildren are Kayleigh, Natalie, Jena and Rylie. She also leaves behind hundreds of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
