Homeowners and Business Owners Encouraged to Sign-Up with Code Red Emergency Notification System.
The City of Clive participates in the CodeRED Emergency Notification System – a high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows a 911 dispatcher to telephone all or targeted areas of the City in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil-water notice, missing child or evacuation notices).
The system is capable of dialing 50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers a recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number.
CodeRED is populated with published landline telephone numbers associated with a property address. Cell phone and other telephone numbers can be added to the system for notifications affecting your property address. This information can be entered by accessing http://www.cityofclive.com/government/fire-and-ems and selecting the CODERED link.
