(Des Moines, Iowa) – The Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute (GDMLI) is pleased to announce a call for nominations for the Community Leadership Program Class of 2015.
The nine-month Community Leadership Program engages participants in a curriculum that offers a view of Greater Des Moines from divergent vantage points, heightens their awareness of current conditions and issues, enhances individual and group leadership skills, and helps class members see themselves as partners for change.
Nominations for the Class of 2015 will be accepted from GDMLI alumni and current class participants until midnight on March 17 at gdmli.com/nominations. Nominees will be invited to submit a formal application for consideration and class selection is completed in June. Criteria for selection include community leadership experience/potential, demonstrated commitment to community involvement, and potential for career growth. Members of the Class of 2015 will represent private, public, and non-profit sectors within the community. The next class runs from August 2014 through May 2015.
Interested individuals are invited to learn more about the Community Leadership Program at the Stand Out from the Crowd recruitment event taking place on Thursday, February 20, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.
