Crystal Faux to be Honored as Clive Citizen of the Year

February 10, 2014 – On Tuesday February 18, the Clive Chamber of Commerce along with the Clive Lions will be honoring Crystal Faux as the Clive 2013 Citizen of the Year at the Clive Chamber’s Annual Celebration. The Annual Celebration will be held at Woodlands Creek Clubhouse, 12675 Woodlands Parkway in Clive. The Celebration will start at 5:30pm, with dinner served at 6:15pm. The program will follow dinner and will include the presentation of the Clive Citizen of the Year award to Crystal Faux.

Crystal Faux and her family have lived in Clive since 1990 when her husband took a position at Drake University and moved the family from Massachusetts. In her 20+ years in Clive Crystal has been an instrumental part in the formation of the Clive Public Library. She has also served as the leader of the Friends of the Clive Public Library organization and on the Clive Library Board.

The Clive Citizen of the Year recognition was initiated in 1979 by the Clive Community Development Association. This year’s nomination process yielded several nominations and the selection committee consisted of representatives from the City of Clive, Clive Lions Club and the Clive Chamber of Commerce.
