William Warren Hoyt, son of Evelyn Loraine Springer and Warren Anderson Hoyt, was born on August 18, 1945 at Jefferson, Iowa and died February 4, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 18 days. Bill grew up on a farm south of Bagley and attended Bagley Community School. Bill was married to Marlene Chaloupka in March of 1963 and the couple had one daughter: Tasha, and two sons: Doug and Curt. The couple lived in Norco, LA and later moved back to Bagley in 1970. Bill worked for Meadow Gold in Perry until it closed and also owned and operated the Bagley Tap from 1974-1986. Bill then moved to Searcy, AR where he worked for the Yarnell Ice Cream plant. From there Bill lived in Anna, TX until returning to Perry after his retirement. Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles and was very interested in muscle cars. In his younger years he also drag raced. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. Bill is survived by two sons: Doug Hoyt (LeAnna) of Madrid and Curt Hoyt of Perry; one daughter: Tasha Hoyt of High Point, NC; grandchildren Kaylinn Smith (Tyson) of Panora, Blaine and Brody Hoyt of Madrid, Eli Hoyt of DeSota, Ashlyn, Johnny, Skyler, Keylee and Kendal Hoyt all of High Point, NC; sisters Cathy Wishman (Mel) of Jefferson and Candy Nash (Paul) of Clinton, CT, and other relatives and many friends.
