Posted January 27, 2014 in Ankeny, Community Web Exclusives

The Northern Polk Pheasants Forever chapter in Ankeny, IA will be hosting its 25th anniversary banquet on February 28th, 2014 at the Ankeny DMACC FFA Enrichment Center. This established conservation group holds an annual banquet fundraiser of 500 attendees and uses all of the funds raised for wildlife habitat conservation and youth education in the Polk County area.

“This is the strongest our chapter has been in 25 years with a large committee and dedicated volunteers who spend a lot of time and energy pursuing conservation endeavors within Polk County throughout the year,” says Jared Wiklund, secretary for the chapter and Regional Director for Pheasants Forever in Iowa. “We were at max capacity last year for our banquet and we are on track to do the same this year once again; it is a humbling experience for all of our committee members and we enjoy being involved in the community and giving back to the environment and our city in so many different ways.”

The committee is now accepting donations, sponsor tables and tickets for their annual event- this is a great way to treat your employees to a night out, or receive a tax deduction for 2014. Sponsor tables are being sold for $500 and $800, membership meals are $60 and dinner only guests pay $25. For more information, ticket sales, donations or to be a sponsor, please contact Jared Wiklund at: 515-423-4747 or
