Festival of Chocolate

Kendall Young Library-KYL-with building dtd 9-12-11Food and drink aren’t usually allowed in the library, but we are making an exception for the inaugural Friends of the Library Festival of Chocolate on Sunday, Feb. 27 from 2 – 4 p.m.

Join us for this delicious fundraiser and you will get to sample a wide variety of chocolate creations. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for Friends members, and $2 for children 10 and younger.

Smart Investing @ Your Library
Sign up for this free course to learn about investing, whether you are just starting, preparing for retirement or already retired. After an in-person orientation on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m., take the online course at your own pace, focusing on the financial issues that matter most to you. The course is taught by ISU Extension specialists. Call the library at 832-9100 to register.

Movie: “Suze Orman’s Money Class,” Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Financial guru Suze Orman offers advice for getting a grip on important financial fundamentals.
Teen Board (grades 6 – 12) meets the first Tuesday of the month. Teens help to choose Young Adult library books and plan activities. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. All teens are welcome.

Book Discussion: “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” by Jonathan Safran Foer, Tuesday, Feb. 26, noon. Books are available at the checkout desk. Everyone welcome.
