Robert ‘Bob’ Kelley Jr., age 66, of 28 Beech Street in Boxholm, and formerly of Boone, died at his home on December 13, 2012.
Following his wishes, his body has been cremated.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m.
A brief Prayer Service will be at 7 p.m. with Rev. Michael Kelley officiating.
Burial of his cremains will be in the Pilot Mound Cemetery in Pilot Mound at a later date.
Bob was born in Boone on July 20, 1946, the son of Robert and Ethel (Harrington) Kelley.
He graduated from Boone High School and DMACC in Ankeny.
On April 1, 1993, Bob married Sue Hemminger in Boone.
In earlier years, Bob worked at Rudy’s Outdoor Equipment Sales and Service in Fort Dodge.
He then worked as an automotive transport and delivery driver for ADESA in Grimes.
He retired and then worked for ADESA on a part time basis.
Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR, cooking and listening to country western, blues, and jazz music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Rodney, a stepson Wesley McClish, and a granddaughter Natasha.
Bob is survived by his wife Sue of Boxholm; a son Kevin Kelley of Virgil, Kansas; a daughter Shannon Reynolds and husband James of Eureka, Kansas; a stepson Bryan Michelsen and wife Jessica of Council Bluffs; a stepdaughter Lori Carlock of Tampa, Florida; a brother Rev. Michael Kelley and wife Judy of Davenport; a sister Dee Love of Ogden; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
