Funeral services for Marilyn S. Hall, 61, of Kamrar, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Iles Funeral Homes, Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Chapel in Madrid, where the family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Madrid.

Marilyn Sue was born on August 6, 1951, to Orville & Madalyn (Reese) Van Langen at Hamilton County Public Hospital in Webster City, Iowa. She was a 1969 graduate from Blairsburg. On April 18, 1976, Marilyn Van Langen married Lawrence “Larry” Francis Hall at the Kamrar United Methodist Church, where she was baptized. They made their home in a trailer on Orville and Madalyn’s property and later, moved in the house to take care of Madalyn. They lived in Kamrar, Iowa, until Saturday, November 3, 2012, when Marilyn was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. She passed from this life at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, from congenital heart failure and dropping blood pressure.

She is leaving behind her husband, Larry Hall now of Madrid; sister, Michelle McFarland and her husband, Pat and their son, Brian all of Milwaukee, WI; and brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. Marilyn was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncle and first her dad, Orville; and mom, Madalyn.

A memorial fund has been established.
