Kay Lorraine Williams, 68, of Winterset, Iowa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on September 10, 1944, to William and Marian Haller. She celebrated 27 years of wonderful marriage to Ronald Williams. She recently retired after 32 years as Bookkeeper and Office Manager at Williams Millwork. Kay loved to travel with her best friend and husband, Ron, to a variety of places including her favorite, Acapulco.
Kay is survived by her husband, Ron, of Winterset; sister, Chardy Beaumont of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons, Randy (Kim) Rawlings of Medina, Ohio and Todd (Jody) Rawlings of Knoxville, Iowa; a step-daughter, Denise Williams of West Des Moines, Iowa; and step-son, Ronald Williams of Des Moines. Kay is remembered as a loving wife, caring mother and beloved grandmother of ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 9 at Iles Funeral Homes-Dunn’s Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 10 at West Des Moines Christian Church 4501 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines. Kay will be laid to rest at Berwick Cemetery following the church services. Luncheon will follow at Saylorville Fire Department.
