The administrative offices of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will be closed Friday, November 9, as staff members move to DART Central Station. The offices will reopen Monday, November 12, in their new location at 620 Cherry Street in downtown Des Moines.
Customer service phones will remain open throughout the move.
Customers wishing to buy bus passes, obtain or renew ID cards, search the lost and found, or meet with department representatives will need to do so at the station beginning Monday. The station will house several DART departments, including Customer Service, RideShare, Human Resources, Planning, Finance, and Marketing and Communications.
The station is located at 620 Cherry Street in downtown Des Moines. The pass sales window will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
At first, the station will be open to foot traffic only. Bus traffic will begin operating out of DART Central Station on Friday, November 23. The lobby hours will be extended once buses begin operating out of the station.
DART’s location at 1100 DART Way will continue to function as the DART Operations and Maintenance Facility. However, customer services will no longer be offered at this location.
