Scott Wallerich

Scott Wallerich, age 50, of 1425 Harrison Street, died Thursday, October 25, 2012, at his home.

Funeral services are Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Boone Biblical Memorial Church with Pastor Bruce Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery.

Scott was born in Denison, Iowa, on June 1, 1962, the son of George and Georgia (Page) Wallerich.

He graduated from Boone High School in 1981.

On June 9, 2012, Scott married Elizabeth Foust in Boone.

For 26 years, he worked for Iowa State University as a custodian.

Scott enjoyed working in his yard, going to concerts and the Funny Bone Comedy Club, cooking, and dining out.

He especially enjoyed attending his niece’s and nephews’ activities and had a love for all kinds of racing including NASCAR, drag racing, and Boone Speedway racing. He was a good story teller.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Randall.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Boone; a brother Jeff Wallerich and wife Janelle of Madrid; a sister Cheri Moran and husband Shawn of Webster City; nephews Jace Wallerich of Madrid, Shawn Moran and wife Alisha of Boone, and Brandon Moran of Webster City; niece Shannon Hill and husband B.J. of Boone; great nieces Adelynn and Halle Bailey, Lily Moran, all of Boone, and Madyson Senclair of Webster City.

Friends may call at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Visitation continues on Wednesday at the funeral chapel from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and then at the Church from 1 p.m. to service time.

Memorials in Scott’s name may be directed to the family.
