CISS Clothing Closet Opens

WHAT: Central Iowa Shelter & Services will hold its first hours for the new clothing closet on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. The closet has clothes for adult men and women of all sizes as well as shoes, coats, hats, gloves and other warm clothes.

The clothing closet is one of the newest additions to Central Iowa Shelter & Services additional supportive services to the community. The clothing closet is open to anyone in the community in need of clothes.

People can support the clothing closet by donating clothes, hats, gloves, coats, socks, underwear, etc. as well as by volunteering to keep the closet open and serving those in need. For more information they can contact Amy Olson, the volunteer coordinator at 515-280-2991 or

ABOUT CISS: Founded in 1992, Central Iowa Shelter & Services is a nonprofit organization that provides free shelter to homeless adults regardless of physical or emotional conditions, and facilitates their move toward self-sufficiency.
