We will have bounce houses (sponsored by the Norwalk Library Foundation), games, pumpkin decorating, bingo, a book sale and a chance to get some funny family pictures. We will be serving hot dogs, chipsand bottled water. Everything is provided for you, but free-will donations are welcome.
We would like to again extend our thanks to City State Bank for providing the food and the Norwalk Lions Club for hosting the bingo as well as providing volunteers to serve food. We also extend our thanks to our Friends of the Library and the Norwalk teens willing to volunteer their time to make the event run smoothly.
Upcoming teen events
Attention Norwalk teens. Please mark your calendars to join us on Friday, Oct. 19, from 7 – 11 p.m. for our annual Halloween Lock-in. We will have many activities including creating your own caramel apple, scary movie night, and mummy wrapping.
Upcoming children’s activities
Our fall story-times are in full swing If you haven’t had a chance to try one out, we invite you to attend.
Preschool story-time is Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., Wee Ones (infants to 18 months) is Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., and Toddler Time is Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. We will also continue our Family Night Activities on Monday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. with a movie showing of “Spooky Buddies.”
We are excited to have two new part-time staff members join the library team. A new position, program assistant, has been created to help with all programming needs, especially adult programming. We look forward to offering many more activities for everyone in the coming months.
As you can tell, there are a lot of activities at your local library with more things every day. Please stop in sometime to pick up the children and teens programming brochure to find out what we have for them. We are looking forward to seeing lots of you at these events and many others in the future.Norwalk Easter Library
