St. John the Apostle Catholic Church will hold its annual fall festival Oct. 13 – 14.

The annual fall festival at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, 720 Orchard Hills Drive, will be held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 13 and 14. All are welcome.

On Saturday evening there will be a gourmet meal for $13 each or $25 per couple. It includes sliced roast beef, potatoes, harvest vegetables, spring greens with Parmesan dressing and dessert. A silent auction will be held before and after dinner with more than 100 baskets of items available for bid. A live auction will be held after dinner and includes tickets for four to the “Beauty and the Beast” show at the Civic Center. Also up for auction will be a Notre Dame game day basket, Templeton Rye tour and a Bed, Bath & Beyond basket. On Sunday morning the Knights of Columbus will be serving a pancake breakfast. After 10 a.m., there will be children’s games, cake walk, bake sale and bingo for all ages. Tickets for the dinner are available for sale at the church or by calling the church office at 515-981-4855. A free will offering is accepted for the pancake breakfast on Sunday morning.

 Fellowship Community Church, 225 North Ave. offers a “Get Connected” class which gives participants the information they need in deciding if Fellowship Community Church should be their church home. It is also a prerequisite for membership at Fellowship Community Church. This class covers the church history and background, doctrinal position, core values, vision, mission, philosophy and more. Pastor Steven Klawonn is the current pastor and began his ministry with Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in 2011.
