Ames Community Bank Announces Plan to Rebrand Identity

Posted October 08, 2012 in Community Web Exclusives, Grimes

Today Ames Community Bank and its offices including Community Bank of Boone, City State Bank (Ogden), Ballard Community Bank (Huxley), and VisionBank (Grimes), announced its plans to rebrand and have a unified identity on October 15th.

Kurt Kuta, President/CEO of the bank, stated one of the reasons for the new branding is to reduce confusion.  “Some of our customers who live in one of our communities and work or visit in another are not aware that they can take advantage of the services offered at other locations, ”Kuta said, “Nor may they realize we have some really great expertise and people throughout our company that can help them with their financial and banking needs.”

The bank started to plan for the rebranding in July 2011.  “This is an exciting time and long-awaited event for our employees,” said Kuta. “This upcoming name change allows all of our locations to represent the same identity and brand and helps our employees to feel unified.”

New signs with the new name will begin to be put up in the days leading up to and after the official change on October 15th.  “In the coming days, they may get a sneak peak of the name prior to the name change announcement,” Kuta said.  “I encourage our customers to stop in and visit with our people to learn more.  They will find this rebrand will not change their accounts.  No new checks or debit cards.  No new fees.  Same internet banking login.  Same great people serving them.  The same commitment to our communities.”

Kuta also commented on the condition of the bank “We are a very sound bank with a strong capital position and very good liquidity.  We are profitable and have the capacity and desire to grow with our customers and communities.”  The sound condition of the bank is further supported by a release from bank regulatory enforcement action on September 20, 2012.  “A lot of hard work went into achieving that,” Kuta said, “We are proud of where we are at today and thankful to our staff for their loyalty and perseverance.”

“We’re excited about the new opportunities that lie before us and we hope our customers and friends share in our excitement. We have long enjoyed the relationships we have fostered within the communities that we serve and look forward to building upon those for years to come,” Kuta said.  “I encourage those individuals and businesses in our communities to visit with our great staff to see what we can do for you.  And watch for the official announcement of our unified name and brand in the coming days.”
