DART Service Changes for Labor Day Weekend

Bus riders are advised to plan their trips carefully this weekend, as activities and the holiday will affect service of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority.

Sunday, September 2 – Routes 1, 4, 5 and 7 will be on detour all day Sunday due to the Hy-Vee Triathlon. No routes will operate through the East Village area of Des Moines. Details are available online at

Monday, September 3 – No DART service will operate on Monday in observation of Labor Day. DART’s administrative offices will be closed, as well. Service will resume and the office will reopen on Tuesday, September 4.
