Pauline and Jim lived in What Cheer until June of 1964 when they made their home in Grimes. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Grimes, of which she served on the board. She loved cooking, teaching, and volunteering at Grimes elementary. In her days at Silvercrest you would find her playing bingo and winning! Or telling her lifelong lessons to the staff at Silvercrest! She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her! But will be remembered for her WONDERFUL home cooking, especially her pies!
In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully requested that any memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Grimes.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff and residents of Woodlands Creek Assisted Living, UnityPoint Hospice, the Deacons, and The Reverend Jessica Wietzke. Special acknowledgement to very dear friends of the family Linda Hennings, Maria and Mark Milton for all their help!
