Auditions for the play “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” will be held at the Des Moines Community Playhouse at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, Nov. 15. All auditions are open to the public; no one is pre-cast. Questions about auditions should be directed to Robin Spahr, 515-974-5365.
“The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” contains feature roles for 7 men and 3 women ages 16 and up, 2 boys and 2 girls ages 8-16, and an ensemble of men, women, boys, and girls ages 8 and up. Performances are Jan. 8-24, 2016, with school matinees Jan. 11-12, 2016. “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” is directed by Nathan Jorgensen.
Journey with Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy through the old wardrobe into the land of Narnia. Narnia is a magical land, populated by Tumnus the Faun, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, unicorns, centaurs, and other forest animals. But danger lurks as The White Witch wages war against Narnia’s rightful king, Aslan the lion.
The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US.
