The Altoona Library is here to help you get back into the swing of school. On Wednesday, September 9th, we’re hosting a Back to Books party, where we’ll be introducing you to all the latest and greatest in chapter books, easy readers, and picture books. Come at 6 PM for games, activities, and to get the scoop on what you should be reading! Our Homeschool Programs resume in September, and will be the second Tuesdays at 2 PM. This year we’ll be focusing on performing arts—adapting fairy tales and classic stories. All are welcome! Grades 3rd-12th should check out our Card Club’s new time—Mondays at 4 PM.
Not quite school age yet? Join us on Mondays at 10 AM for Baby Bounce, Wednesdays and Thursdays for storytimes for all ages, and Fridays at 10 AM for Pipsqueak Playdate. Check out Tot Science on Monday, September 14th at 6 PM for hands-on experiments and activities for our littlest learners.
Bring the whole family to our Wednesday afterschool programs at 3 PM. We’ll be meeting on June 2nd for Lego Club, and on June 16th we’ll be showing Cinderella! Both programs begin at 3 PM. If you prefer evening events, try Family Art Night on Thursday, September 10th. We’ll be getting our hands (and feet) dirty as we get creative!
All children’s events are free, but require registration. Call or register online.
