Elizabeth M. Kauzlarich, 90, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Wesley Acres in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, April 23, 2015 at St. Ambrose Cathedral where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Thursday at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville.
Elizabeth was born March 25, 1925 in Centerville, Iowa to Joseph and Elizabeth (Katich) Kauzlarich. She was a graduate of Centerville High School and moved to Des Moines in 1945. In 1985, Elizabeth retired from Norwest Bank as a Senior Loan Services Officer after 35 years of service. She was member of St. Ambrose Cathedral and a 50 year member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Elizabeth was very active and enjoyed bowling, golf and card games including bridge and pitch. She loved to travel and made frequent trips to Las Vegas. She volunteered in the Gift Shop at Mercy Hospital, was an avid reader and served as the Librarian at Mercy Park. She loved ice cream.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews: Judy Pieper of Urbandale, Pat (Larry) Flannery of Denver, CO, Bill (Deb) Coulter of Omaha, NE, Jeff Coulter of Johnston; many great nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ann Coulter and brother, Frank Kauzlarich.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Acres for their kind and compassionate care of Elizabeth over the last two years of her life.
