Ames, IA – Comedians Kevin Iso and Whitmer Thomas will performing their stand-up routines at Iowa State University on Thursday, January 22. Doors will open at 8:30pm for the 9:00pm performance at the Maintenance Shop in the Memorial Union. Admission is free and open to the public.

Originally from Huston, Kevin Iso began performing stand up all across Texas before moving to New York where he has been honing his skills. As a true student of the game, Kevin displays likeability and poise well beyond his years. Through his unique point of view, Kevin seamlessly blends cultures while appealing to all ages. In the past two years, Kevin has performed at the Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland, the Funny or Die Oddball Festival, Comedy Central’s Comic’s To Watch and will be featured on AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. On top of performing stand up, Kevin is the co-creator of the hit web-series Moderately Funny.

Whitmer Thomas is an LA-based comedian who leads the comedy collective Power Violence and their popular weekly show in Hollywood by the same name. A breakout performer at the 2014 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, Thomas has been a staple in the LA comedy scene and an exciting new addition opening for acts such as TJ Miller and Todd Glass all over the country. Thomas has appeared on FOX’s Ben and Kate, Comedy Central’s Workaholics, and stars in the upcoming feature film May the Best Man Win. Thomas also co-created and voices the upcoming FOX ADHD animated series Stone Quackers alongside John C. Reilly.

While admission is free and open to the public, space is limited and patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
