Judy Snider

Born December 16, 1940 in St. Paul, MN, she was one of the two children of Robert and Ranghild (Petersen) Smith. Judy married Michael H. Frazier, bearing three sons, and later married John P. Snider (deceased) gaining six step-children.

Judy graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. She was trained and worked as a nurse at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Planned Parenthood, managed the family antique business in West Des Moines, and worked as a teacher’s aide. Parenting, antiquing, fishing, and reading filled her days until 1989 when she suffered a stroke, changing her lifestyle, but still sharing love with those near to her.

Judy is survived by her son Michael (Mell) Frazier of Des Moines, IA; son Jeff (Joan) Frazier of Ackley, IA; son Tom Frazier of Osceola, IA; step-son John (Jodi) Snider of Plano, TX; step-daughter Laurie Herring of Mesa, AZ; step-daughter Ellen (Jerry) Grimes of Des Moines, IA; step-daughter Wendy (Bret) Clikeman of Steamboat Rock, IA; step-daughter Jill Gray (Jerry Martinez) of Charles City; step-son Mark (Laura) Snider of Saranac, MI; her brother Robert (Joyce) Smith of Alpharetta, GA; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
