Jeffrey Glen Cornick

Jeff was born in Des Moines January 8, 1969. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, attended U. of Iowa and graduated from Upper Iowa University in 1993. In 2008 he was united in marriage to Juliana Katherine Marzen.

Jeff loved animals of all kinds, especially his dog, KoKo, and cat, Buddy. In his earlier years he played the clarinet, saxophone and guitar. He could build computers from scratch and loved the outdoors. He was gifted in so many ways. Purple was his favorite color and he was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Cardinals.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Juliana, his daughter Sophia, his parents Patricia Newcomer (Charles) and James Cornick (Sue), his older brother Patrick “Rick” Cornick, his step sister Amy (Todd) Tesar, his step brother Ned (Yumeko) Newcomer and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
