LIBRARY HIGHLIGHTS

A book signing will be held on Wednesday, January 14th from 4-6 p.m. Local author James Helvig will have his latest book, Amazing Grace, for sale. Mr. Helvig will be on hand to autograph copies!

Thank you all of the supporters who have recently joined or renewed their membership in the Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library! Your generous support helps provide materials and equipment which otherwise would not be offered. There is still time to join. Contact the library or go to the website for a membership form. Thank you!

The library’s new self-check kiosk is being operational. You will need a new card in order to operate the kiosk. Stop in soon and try it out, it’s fun!

Online magazines are now available! Pleasant Hill is now part of a consortium, Central Iowa MagNet, which has access to more than 60 magazines anytime, anywhere. Go to the library’s website at http://pleasanthilliowa.org for a link to the MagNet site. You will need the access code in order to set up an account. Contact the library to obtain the code.

Don’t forget the library has online access to E-books and audio available! WILBOR is an online site accessible through the library’s website.  Access is available for Kindle users as well! For more information, call the library at 266-7815.

Two of the library staff are notaries. This service is available free. Call ahead to make sure of the staff notaries is available.

 

STORY TIMES

Story times are held on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 only. Crafts are held every Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.

Toddler Times are held on every Tuesday at 10 am!
