Edna Robinson Lytle, 100, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center.
Edna was born August 14, 1913, to Clyde and Fay Collins on the family farm northeast of Dallas Center. She married Charles “Chuck” Robinson and lived on a farm south of Dallas Center. They had two daughters, Pat and Marilyn. Chuck died on March 6, 1963. She married William Dee Lytle on February 26, 1972, and moved to a farm in the Granger area.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Pat (John) Malone, her step-children, Bill (Linda) Lytle, Judy (Randy) Nyberg and Carol Danielson; her sister Esther Chambers, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 22 step great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Jean Allen, Viola Baker, Jack Collins and George Collins; her daughter, Marilyn Spencer, her grandson, Mark Spencer, her step son-in-law, John Danielson, and her husbands, Charles Robinson and Dee Lytle.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Granger where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery near Dallas Center.
The family would like to thank the staff at Spurgeon Manor for their excellent care and true caring for Edna all the years that she lived there.
