Phyllis A. Christensen, 82, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Polk City Nursing & Rehab Center. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 16th at the Merle Hay Funeral Home Chapel, 4400 Merle Hay Rd. Des Moines, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, Eric, and her memory is cherished by her son, Christopher (Linda) Nichols of Grimes, a granddaughter, Katherine Nichols of Dallas Center, and a grandson Alexander Nichols of Grimes. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Susan (Richard) Morgan of California and Aileen Thompson of Des Moines.
