The campaign in part of the ARL’s PetSnip program – a spay/neuter assistance program for cats and dogs in Des Moines. Free services are provided for those living in the 50315 zip code and reduced cost services are offered for everyone else throughout the city of Des Moines.
The goal of the campaign is to spay/neuter 600 owned cats in dogs by September 30. Volunteer canvassers will be passing out fliers at local businesses, along with traveling door-to- door scheduling appointments.
The campaign will launch a “Spaygetti” dinner kickoff event for volunteers interested in leading the campaign. The dinner will take place on Tuesday, July 8th at the Animal Rescue League.
