Nancy Griffith
Nancy Ann Griffith, 92, of Deerfield, passed away June 25, 2014, on her 92nd birthday, at Methodist West Medical Center in West Des Moines. Per her request cremation rites have been accorded and private committal services were held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter, Iowa.
Nancy was born June 25, 1922, in Hammond, IN, daughter of Curtis and Wilhelmina Cleveland. She received a full piano scholarship to the Indiana University School of Music, graduating in 1943. Nancy was a teacher in Hammond, Indiana.
Nancy is survived by her children, Donna (Charles) Turlinski of East Hampton, NY, Marcia Witkowski of Plymouth, MN, and Robert C. (Deborah) Griffith of Ankeny; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband David Griffith.
