The summer reading program is well underway at the library. Consider signing up no matter what your age.

For children and teens, prizes are awarded for meeting reading goals. Adults are also encouraged to sign up. Drawings are held for great prizes for all ages.

Activities include special guests at the Youth Center on Tuesdays.
• July 1: Fizz, Boom, Read! by the Science Center of Iowa.
• July 8: Pol-KABOOM! by Pint Sized Polkas.
• July 15: Comic juggling by Jason Huneke.
• July 22: Fizz-Boom-Pow by Zinghoppers Group.
• July 29: The Magic of Rick Eugene

A special new attraction this year is Snakes Alive, which will be held on Monday, July 7 from 6:30-8 p.m. Stop in anytime during those hours. Snakes Alive is a national touring program that offers a wide variety of live animals. You can interact up close and personal to discover firsthand the fascinating world of reptiles.
