The Interrobang Film Festival Presented by The Des Moines Arts® Festival Promises a High Quality Film Experience

Des Moines, IA June 18, 2014 -­‐ The Interrobang Film Festival presented by the Des Moines Arts Festival® combines a traditional film production Festival with a public screening. Twenty-­‐Nine films will be screened at various times throughout the three days of the Festival June 27 – 29 at Des Moines Central Library’s South Wing.

Highlights of theInterrobang Film Festival will include: a Best of 48 Hour Film Project screening and mixer at 7PM on Friday June 27th at Des Moines Central Library. The 48 Hour Film Project is celebrating their 10th season in Des Moines with a free screening of some favorites from their first nine years.The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and your team have a blast making a movie. All writing,shooting, editing and scoring must be completed in just 48 hours.

Reps from the 48 Hour Film Project will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about upcoming events.

Other Interrobang highlights include the Iowa premiere of Blake Eckard’s Ghosts of Empire Prairie featuring cinematography from acclaimed independent filmmaker Jon Jost; a Midwest filmmaker discussion panel on Saturday at 3PM; and a Saturday screening of the Film The Best Bar in America, a feature film financed through crowd funding.
