Jerry Sparks
Jerry, 69, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Iowa Veterans Home. Visitation will be June 4 at Urbandale United Church of Christ, 3530 70th St., Urbandale from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with a 12:30 p.m. burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1966 and was proud of his service to his country. Jerry was also very proud of his 17 years of sobriety and his work with AA.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Connie (Mark) Dellaca; two grandchildren, Sabrina and Chris Dellaca; one sister, Carla (Ken) Briggs and by numerous extended family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Sparks; his mother and step-father, Deanna and Bill Gifford.
