Mary Renda
Mary Rose Renda, 95, passed away May 25, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 31 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with interment at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., with a vigil at 6:30, Friday, at Tonini Funeral Home, 2135 SW 9th St.
Mary was born to Francis and Anthony Pigneri on June 3, 1918. Mary was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a great love for God, her family and friends. Mary received great joy from her work. She was a hair stylist for 55 years.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Ginny and Carmie Renda; three grandchildren: Mark (Georgia) Martin, Gina (Shawn Hatfield) Martin and Jon Martin; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and special niece, Marilyn Chiodo.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Tut” Renda; brother, John Pigneri; sisters: Jesse Acri, Rachel Tantillo, Lucy Scatino, and Ginny Bognanno.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fleur Heights Care Center and St. Jude Hospice, for all the love and dedicated care they gave to Mary over the last few years.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony Church or St. Jude Hospice.
