Ride your bike to the library between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, May 17, and join Kelly and the Polk County Sheriff’s office to learn about proper bike safety. There will be bicycle checks, helmet fittings and an obstacle course. No registration necessary.
The library will be undergoing interior renovations this summer. We will be closed from May 19 until June 1 while we relocate. From June 2 until early fall we will temporarily relocate to the Grimes Community Complex Taekwondo Room (Room 102, across from the batting cages).
Summer Reading Program
Summer reading registration will begin on Monday, June 2. Stop in that week to register, check out some books, get a bag of goodies, and start reading. This summer we’ll have reading programs for readers of all ages, babies to adults.

Ice Cream Science

Nothing tastes better than homemade ice cream on a hot summer day. Come make your own in a ziplock bag. Ages 5 and up; please register.
The library will be closed Sunday, June 15 for Father’s Day.

Move and Groove
Mondays, 6:30 p.m.
Come join Kelly for some music, singing, moving and grooving. For movement on the floor you may bring a towel or yoga mat. No registration necessary, and children under 5 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m.
Toddlers 18 months to 3 years old and a caregiver are invited to join us as we introduce literacy and a love of books through storytelling, rhymes, songs and crafts. No registration required.
