Beginning Friday 28 March 2014, Saylorville Lake level will be lowered two feet at a rate of one-quarter to one-half foot per day. Once conditions are right, a flight will occur to obtain LiDAR data that will be used in calculating sedimentation in the reservoir. The flight is estimated to only take 4-6 hours. Once completed, the lake level will gradually return to the normal 836 elevation, depending on inflows to the reservoir.
