Toddler Fest – April 12, 2014 – Free Event

Posted March 19, 2014 in Community Web Exclusives, Perry

The Dallas County Library Association and 4 R Kids are sponsoring a Toddler Fest on Saturday, April 12 from 10:00am to12:00pm at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel. This is a fun event for children ages 2-5 and their parents or caregivers. Toddler Fest is designed to create awareness of the many literacy resources available in Dallas County, as well as provide a morning of free literacy activities for families. Each toddler will receive a free book for attending!

Many family-centered organizations, including the Science Center of Iowa and the Blank Park Zoo, will be on hand, as well as the Dallas County Hospital and many other area agencies.  Several kid-friendly personalities will be there with toddler-friendly activities, such as the “Trooper” the Reading Therapy dog, an Ice Princess and a Snow Queen reading children’s favorite books, airbrush tattoos, a face painter, and many other fun activities.

Remember, the Toddler Fest is entirely free and all children will go home with a book and (if you find the Dallas County Library Association sand table) a box of crayons.
